What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a safe, painless, non-invasive medical therapy that enhances the body's natural healing process by breathing in pure oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber at a pressure greater than sea level (above 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA)). This saturates blood cells and tissues with 1,200% more oxygen than normal breathing, giving the body more fuel (oxygen) to work and recover. This increased pressure allows oxygen to dissolve into the blood plasma (not just hemoglobin), enhancing circulation and delivering oxygen to areas where red blood cells may have limited access. This therapy has been used for decades to treat various medical conditions, including decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, and radiation tissue damage. However, recent research has shown that HBOT can also have benefits for a wide range of other health conditions, such as chronic pain, traumatic brain injury, and even autism. HBOT supports natural healing, improves recovery, and optimizes overall body function.

Room air contains 21% oxygen, which means many of our tissues and cells operate under suboptimal oxygen conditions. A pressurized chamber uses pressurized ambient air to deliver oxygen that's two to three times higher than normal air pressure (our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy provides you with air that contains 52% oxygen), into your bloodstream, fueling faster healing, sharper brain function and boosted energy. It also helps your lungs gather and absorb more oxygen. Oxygen helps the tissues in your body heal and withstand infections - A powerful tool for cellular regeneration and lasting longevity.

Why Choose Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Drug-Free and Non-Invasive - uses oxygen and pressure to naturally promote healing.

Conditions & Benefits:

Comparison: Lack of Oxygen without HBOT vs Increased Oxygen with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
HBOT Physiological Benefits: 1. Creates new blood vessels, 2. Increases circulation, 3. Decreases inflammation, 4. Alleviates temporary pain, 5. Boosts and protects immune function, 6. Helps with nutrient absorption and waste removal, 7. Improves sleep quality and duration, 8. Helps create new stem cells, 9. Speed up healing and recovery process from 40 up to 70% faster, 10. Increases brain cell production and improves cognitive function

How does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Work?

The treatment requires people to be placed into a chamber pressurized with oxygen, which enables more oxygen to reach damaged tissues and cells. People recover faster as the exposure to pressurized oxygen in a hyperbaric chamber promotes the release of new stem cells.

While the treatment may not be suitable should you have certain lung conditions or a phobia of enclosed spaces, most patients should be good candidates for the procedure. The treatment can also be a great option for people with diabetes as it promotes wound repair and can help reduce overall swelling. In any case, hyperbaric oxygen treatment can be great for treating various health conditions.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the amount of oxygen in our red blood cells up to the maximum level of 100%, which speeds up the wound healing process and overall health of the body. As we go through out our day, inhaled air composed of various gases and oxygen is moved throughout the body via the red blood cells and when we increase the oxygen levels within those red blood cells, we increase the health and function of those cells exponentially.

As you enter a hyperbaric chamber and the atmospheric pressure is increased, oxygen changes the way it “behaves” in the body such that it dissolves into blood plasma, lymph, and cerebral spinal fluid. Once oxygen enters these fluids, it can then diffuse into tissue and oxygenate inflamed, or hypoxic (low oxygen) areas not easily reached by red-blood cells.

Although there are very impressive acute effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy that occur at an epigenetic level, the most sought-after improvements are observed after regular, daily treatments, for 1-2 months. Research has shown that repeated treatments promote the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), neurons (neurogenesis), increase glutathione levels, repairs damaged mitochondria, functions as an antibiotic and antiviral, mobilizes stem cells, increases collagen, and lowers systemic inflammation.
